Mrs. Adney enjoyed hanging wallpaper and had been a caregiver for several people. She had been a resident of Hartford City since 1996 before moving back to Montpelier recently. She was the daughter of the late Wiley Royal and the late Florence E. (Dye) Royal. She married Charles Adney on June 13, 1942 in Portland, Indiana. Charles Adney passed away on November 20, 1968. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include : 3 Sons Thomas (Wife, Shelia) Adney of Ansonia, Ohio,David Lee Adney of Montpelier, Ind,Timothy (Wife, Debra) Adney of Muncie, Ind. 1 Sister Vera Cain of Upland, Ind. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren & 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in Death by: Her husband Charles Adney. Parents Wiley & Florence E. (Dye) Royal. 3 Brothers Carl Royal, Kenneth Royal, Wiley Royal, Jr. 2 Sisters Mary Coleman, Thelma Pauline Royal.
Arrangements are being handled by Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 West Windsor Street, Montpelier, Ind., where the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Funeral service will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home with calling one hour prior to servies at 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 8, 2010 with Rev. Dustin Jones officiating.
Interment will be at Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier, Ind.
