Emma B. Schwartz, 82, of Monroe, IN, passed away at 3:19 PM, on Monday, August 30, 2010 at her residence 3870 E. 300 S. Monroe, IN. She was born on Friday, May 4, 1928, in Adams County, IN. Mrs. Schwartz was a member of the Old Order Amish. She married Levi H. Schwartz on December 1, 1949 in Adams County. She was the daughter of the late Daniel L. Schwartz and the late Margaret E. (Schwartz) Schwartz.
Survivors include: Her husband Levi H. Schwartz of Monroe, Ind, 2 Sons Harvey L. (Wife Lydia Mae) Schwartz of Monroe, Ind, Walter (Wife Rosetta) Schwartz of Monroe, Ind. 3 Daughters Verna E. (Husband David) Shetler of Monroe, Ind, Ruby E. (Husband Pete) Eicher of Geneva, Ind, Rosemary E. (Husband Amos) Schwartz of Monroe, Ind. 2 Half Brothers Joni B. (Wife Ida) Schwartz of Monroe, Ind, Raymond B. (Wife Maggie) Schwartz of Berne, Ind. 1 Sister Lydiann B. (Husband Amos) Schwartz of Berne, Ind. She is also survived by 47 grandchildren & 66 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in Death by: Her parents Daniel L. & Margaret E. Schwartz., 1 Son Merlin L. Schwartz., 4 Brothers Ernest B. Schwartz, Merlin B. Schwartz, Daniel B. Schwartz, Samuel B. Schwartz . 1 Granddaughter Laura Schwartz.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 31, 2010 and from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 1, 2010. at the Levi H. Schwartz residence. ( 3870 E. 300 S. Monroe, IN.)
Funeral services will also be held at the Levi H. Schwartz residence at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 2, 2010 With Bishop Mervin Miller officiating.
Burial will follow at the Schwartz Cemetery in Monroe, Ind.
