Leon L. Hartman
Leon L. Hartman, 66, of Berne, IN, passed away at 5:37 AM, on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Chalet Village Health Care Center in Berne, IN. He was born on Sunday, April 16, 1944, in Adams County, IN. Mr. Hartman graduated from Berne High School, and attended 1 year of barber school. He was a barber & worked at Micro Precision in Berne, IN. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and a he was collector of many items. He attended the Berne Evangelical Church in Berne, IN.
He married Angie (Lehman) Hartman on October 17, 1965 in Berne, Indiana. Angie survives.
He was the son of the late Cleo and Clara (Biberstine) Hartman.
Survivors include: Wife-Angie (Lehman) Hartman of Geneva, Ind., Daughter-Sondra (husband, Jeff) Goetz of Fort Wayne, Ind., Son-Kent (wife, Cheryl) Hartman of Goshen, Ind., Sisters-Mildred (husband, Lawren) Arnold of New Haven, Ind. and Shirley (husband, Ted) Swoveland of Berne, Ind., Brother-LaVerne (wife, Karen) Hartman of Berne, Ind and a Granddaughter-Kristin Goetz of Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was preceded in Death by: Parents Cleo & Clara (Biberstine) Hartman.
Arrangements are being handled by Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington Street, Geneva, Ind. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services only will be at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Friday, June 11, 2010 with the Chaplin, Anita Rediger officiating. Interment will be at Berne Evangelical Church Cemetery in Berne, Ind.
