Martha Jane Newell
Martha retired from the St. Regis Paper Company in Marion after working there for 50 years. She was involved in and regularly attended the Hillside Wesleyan Church in Marion. She was an avid basketball fan and Cubs Baseball fan.
She married Don Newell in Marion. She was the daughter of the late Earl Miller and the late Ruth (Grose) Miller.
Survivors include a brother Charles (Marcella) Miller a sister in Law Viola Miller and 3 Grandsons, Tim Haggerty of Fort Wayne, Ind. Mike (Wife, Stacy) Haggerty of Warren, Ind., Steve (wife, Robin) Haggerty of La Fontaine, Ind., 9 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in Death by: her Husband-Don Newell, Father-Earl Miller,Mother-Ruth (Grose) Miller a Brother-Robert Miller, Daughter-Barbara "Jean" Haggerty and Granddaughter-Lisa Stockman.
Arrangements are being handled by Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren, Ind., where the family will receive family and friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, February 21, 2010 and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, February 22, 2010 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be at Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Monday, February 22, 2010 at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Bingham officiating.
Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren, Ind.
